Mentorship

To identify, nurture and develop talents, skills and gifts among members, providing platforms for the support of these talents, gifts and the skills; formulating and establishing capacity building platforms for the specialised and group mentorship programs for personal growth and faithful service to God.

Context & Trend

Mentorship involves the ability to identify, nurture, and develop skills, talents and gifts of individuals, brought about by various programs organised by the church at departmental levels thereby enabling members to choose freely their areas of interest. The main goal for such mentorship programs is to ensure that the body of Christ grows uniformly and holistically.

Today's students face unprecedented pressure such as mental health challenges, academic stress, anxiety about the future, relationships, complexities of digital life and life's purpose identification. All these require more than just a programmatic training — they require one-to-one support.

There is a collective realisation within the Union that care and wellness are not peripheral activities but are central activities. Members in the church are gifted differently but all these have to be put in place in unison to the glory of God.
