Department History
This department was established in 2010 with the inception of the union and the main mandate has been to organise prayer meetings within the church.
Department Activities
- Organisation of all prayer meetings within the Christian Union.
- Facilitating morning and evening devotions.
- Planning, organising and facilitating prayer and impartation week.
- In liaison with the Bible Study department leader, organises on the books to be handled during the Bible exposition.
- In liaison with the Discipleship department leader, organises Wednesday's services.
- Linking the CU with other institutions' CUs on prayer meetings.
Current Challenges
- Low turnout on the prayer meetings.
- A problem on the venue for personal prayers, morning and evening devotions.
- Disruption from other activities such as games during evening devotion.
- A problem on the doctrine of prayers and unguided prayers.
