Message from the Secretary of the Strategic Plan Committee

As the Secretary of the Strategic Plan Committee, I am honored to be part of the team entrusted with developing this strategic direction for JOOUST Christian Union. The process has involved listening, collaboration, prayer, and thoughtful reflection on the current needs and future aspirations of our union.

This strategic plan represents more than a document; it reflects our shared commitment to building a stronger, united, and spiritually grounded fellowship that will continue impacting lives within and beyond the university. It captures our desire to strengthen discipleship, encourage servant leadership, promote active member participation, and enhance the effectiveness of ministry activities.

Throughout this process, we have recognized the challenges students face today, including academic pressures, spiritual struggles, and the changing social environment. At the same time, we have seen the need for innovation, unity, accountability, and intentional mentorship within the union. This plan therefore provides a framework that will guide our activities, priorities, and growth as a ministry.

I sincerely appreciate the dedication and contributions of all committee members, union leaders, patrons, and members whose ideas and support made this work possible.

As we move forward, may we remain united in purpose, faithful in service, and committed to glorifying God in everything we do.

Message from the Secretary of the Christian Union

To JOOUST CU Family,

I would like to take this opportunity and thank the almighty God for His enabling and strength throughout this process of coming up with our new strategic plan that will drive us forward from the year 2026-2030. This plan will act as a steering wheel that will drive the operation and effectiveness of our JOOUST Christian Union in the 5 year plan.

This strategic plan has been reached by effectual prayers, long meetings, consultation from our members, our previous strategic plan and the FOCUS strategic plan. Over the past few months we have had numerous meetings, discussions, listening to our members when drafting this plan and it is our hope as the strategic plan committee that this plan will help steer the union in the right direction throughout the five years.

The main aim of this plan is to build a church that will be rooted well in the word of God, impacting both the community within and outside the institution. Across this strategic plan we have highlighted 9 areas which will help to attain our aim.

This strategic plan is not only for the union leaders but for each and every member of the Christian union. I urge us all to embrace it and let it be a stepping stone to push our CU to greater lengths. Let us remain together and work in unity to see that after 5 years our union is at a better place than it was.

Yours faithfully,
Ferbrigas Mwenda
Secretary, JOOUST Christian Union
