Missions & Evangelism
To effectively mobilize and equip every member with sound scriptural knowledge and skills to actively evangelize within the campus; increasing student involvement in missions and reaching both the wider community and least-reached people groups with the transformative gospel.
Context & Trend
Missions and evangelism are central to the Christian faith, reflecting God's heart for the salvation of all people and His desire that the Gospel of Jesus Christ be proclaimed to every nation. At its core, evangelism is the act of sharing the good news of salvation through Jesus Christ, while missions involve the intentional sending and equipping of believers to reach people beyond their immediate context especially those who have not yet heard the gospel.
The foundation of missions and evangelism is found in the command of Jesus Christ known as the Great Commission. In Matthew 28:19-20, Jesus instructs His disciples: "Go therefore and make disciples of all nations... teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you."
This command emphasises that evangelism is not optional but a divine mandate for every believer with the proclamation and demonstration of the Gospel in relation to Romans 10:14-15 — "How shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach unless they are sent?"
